The continent had changed, but he continued with the same vices that he had whilst in England. He attended Ghana National College, a boarding school on the southern coast of Ghana. Two years elapsed but there was no improvement regarding Joe's conduct. But in a dramatic turn of events, after stealing some Dutch wax cloth from an aunt, the insightful yet resonating words of a schoolmate had a profound effect on Joe. The words “Jesus loves you!” caused this boastful atheist to tearfully surrender his life to the Lord, accepting him as savior.
Sekondi College is where Joe continued his academic studies. He also excelled spiritually as he discovered the power of prayer, and began to cultivate a love for others. He became a prayer chaplain, counselor and street evangelist. In addition, he motivated many students to live purposeful Christian lives and many witnessed the miracles God wrought through him.
After completing school in 1989, Joe returned to England. In December 1993 he attended The International Bible Institute of London which is part of Kensington Temple; here he attained a Diploma in Christian Education (Theology).
From 1995-2004 he served as a Missionary. His itinerary included, North America, Antigua, Jamaica, St Kitts, St Lucia and his hometown London. In 1998, while serving in North London under "Jennifer Brown Ministries," he was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel.
It was during his time spent as Pastor on the Island of St Martin (2001-2004) that “Pastor Joe” realized a vast majority of the Christians he encountered lacked the know how to execute the objectives they had set for themselves. As a result he began coaching Christians and Non-Christians how to incorporate spiritual and practical principles into their business affairs.
He has since then he has also ministered in Germany and Australia. Currently Joseph Opare is the Founder of Joseph Opare Media and TVC (The Victorious Church). Rev. Joseph Opare walks in a very strong Apostolic/Prophetic anointing and has given multitudes of accurate prophetic utterances in over 22 years of ministry. |
